Coastal Flood Advisory Issued For Southern Queens

Yesterday, the National Weather Service for New York issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for southern Queens until 1 p.m. today.

The NWS said tides were expected to reach one and half feet to two and a half feet higher than the normal level.

A man from Queens was indicted today on sex trafficking charges after allegedly forcing a teenage girl into prostitution.

Tyquan Henderson, a 21-year-old from Jamaica, Queens, faces several charges including sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, and rape after he allegedly forced a 15-year-old girl to perform sex work and to have sex with him under threat of violence.

A Jamaica man turned prospective Islamic State fighter pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday for his role in attempting to support the terrorist organization.
