Commuters Will Soon Set Sail Fom LIC to LES

Starting Aug. 29, a new ferry route comes to Long Island City, enabling Western Queens commuters to travel to the Lower East Side in about a half hour. The Lower East Side Route will run from Wall Street/Pier 11 to Long Island City, a 32-minute trip with stops in Corlears Hook, Stuyvesant Cove and East 34th Street.

Eagle-Eyed Lawmakers Spot 7 Train Gang Tag

A jailhouse gang tag caught the eye of two Queens lawmakers in a Corona subway station Friday.

Council Member Francisco Moya and Assembly Member Ari Espinal spotted a graffiti tag for Sureños 13, a U.S. prison gang affiliated with Mexican drug cartels, on the side of a 7 train car in the 111th Street train station.
